This is Ray Celestins debut Novel and Winner of the CWA John Creasey New Blood Dagger for Best Debut Crime Novel of the Year.
The story is about finding the Axemann, who is behind the killings in the 1919 New Orleans.
When that is said, I must say "I'm confused" and yes I have not written a bestseller, even though I would like to.. But for me I don't get it. The beginning is very slow and I almost didn't finish it, it was only because of all the good reviews out there, that kept me reading. And when I got to page 270 I was hooked...but that is a lot of pages to read before something really start happening, but after that it was good and I began to like it and that is why I give it 3 stars.
Ray Celestin do have a way of writing his character so you feel you know them and I like that.
